Daylight Map Distribution v1.32 Released

Version 1.32 of Daylight Map Distribution now available for download.

• Daylight planet files are composed of 100% OSM data, released under the terms of the Open Database License
• We’ve checked public OSM changes, fixed those that might be harmful to our users and imported those fixes into the distribution.
• We publish the data in PBF, OSC, and other common file formats universally supported by OSM tools and already used for planet-scale file distribution

New in v1.32: Daylight Map Distribution

Starting from v1.32, we are introducing two major changes:

• Format change of files: we are changing the way we compress OSC files from using bzip2 to using gzip. Check out this post for more details: Format Change of Files in Daylight
• Upcoming release schedule update: Daylight team is working on changes on release schedule. More details are coming soon along with the new schedule.

We skip the v1.31 to work on adjustments to better prepare for the changes.

v1.32 Summary

Most Notable 3

• 96 features were fixed from relation check
• 576 features were fixed from various atlas checks
• 6 features were fixed from nlp check

A large number of vandalism from various parts of the world were detected and removed. In this particular example Lower Tsaritsinskiy pond’s name tag was vandalized, but was rapidly detected and repaired in Biryulyovo Vostochnoye District, Moscow, Russia.

A gap in an amenity=university multipolygon was closed in University Circle, Ohio, United States.

A highway=track was extended to improve the connectivity of the road network in Onikişubat, Mediterranean Region, Turkey.
