Daylight Map Distribution v0.7 Released

Continuing with our monthly release cadence, Daylight v0.7 is now available to download.

• Daylight planet files are composed of 100% OSM data, released under the terms of the Open Database License
• We’ve checked public OSM changes, fix those that might be harmful to our users and import those fixes into the distribution.
• We publish the data in PBF, OSC, and other common file formats universally supported by OSM tools and already used for planet-scale file distribution

No v0.7 Coastlines

Due to extensive changes to natural=coastline tags in near Chesapeake Bay we are skipping this month’s coastline data release while the community determines a strategy for coastal waterways. Read more on the topic in comments on this OSM changeset, Eric H. Christensen’s tagging@ post, and Joseph Eisenberg’s talk@ post. Please use last month’s v0.6 coastlines in Shapefile format: 📦 daylight-v0.6-coastline-land-polygons.tgz (724MB)

2021 Releases

Our 2021 monthly release cadence will kick off in February. Happy winter holidays and we’re excited to return in the new year!
